On November 22, 2019, Fullerton College hosted a LGBTQ+ Summit for nearly
50 Hornets, including students, faculty, staff, and managers. We are working to
strengthen support services for the LGBTQ+ student community. We explored
the feasibility of a Pride/LGBTQ+ Resource Center, safe zone training, student
development best practices, and strengthening our online resources. Thank
you, Lisa Macafee, for facilitating the Summit and for your leadership.
On February 7, 2020, Fullerton College will send a team of 10 Hornets to Orange
Coast College to complete a Safe Zone Train-The-Trainer Project. The goal is to
explore the possibility of providing a Safe Zone training program at Fullerton
College.
