The Umoja Community Program is committed to the success of our students during this challenging time. Our campus remains closed as a measures to keep our campus community safe. However, we are offering select programs and services virtually and can be reached by email, Instagram direct message, or phone. Our contact information is listed near the bottom of this webpage.

Counseling Appointments

Counseling will be offered in a limited capacity staring the week of March 30th. Please email umoja@fullcoll.edu to make an appointment with an Umoja Counselor. For more information regarding campus-wide counseling services during this time please visit https://counseling.fullcoll.edu/

Student Success Appointments

To ensure the success of our students in the program, we have implemented 45-minute virtual student success appointments with an Umoja Team Member. You can make an appointment starting Tuesday, March 31st. Students can use these appointments for personal and academic goal setting, to discuss success skills such as time management, note-taking, tips for online learning and more. Our team members will be actively contacting Umoja Scholars during this period of time via email and by phone. The intention is to provide direction, support, and serve as a liaison for services.

Tutoring

We are offering 30-minute tutoring appointments via Zoom video conferencing. Support can be offered for the following subjects: English, Sociology, Ethnic Studies, Communications Studies, Women’s Studies, Math (basic-statistics), and essay review. Program Workshops

We will continue to host workshops during this time. We will announce workshop topics, times, and share Zoom links on Instagram, by email and through Remind.

PorchTalk

These talks are community based discussions where language is power, the space is safe, and all voices are honored. These talks will have various topics and will take place every Thursday at 11am via Zoom starting March 25th, 2020. please visit our Instagram linktree or email us for the meeting link.
